Easy-Speak Guide: How to Book a Role and Request a Speech

Easy-Speak (easySPEAK) is the club system most European clubs, and many elsewhere, use to plan meetings. New members usually need three things from it: where to log in, how to take a role, and how to ask for a speech slot. Here is each one, step by step.

Where to log in

Easy-Speak runs on regional sites. Use the one your club uses:

  • UK and Ireland: toastmasterclub.org
  • Continental Europe: tmclub.eu or district59.eu
  • Everywhere else: easy-speak.org

Your username and password come from your club, not from toastmasters.org; the two accounts are separate. If you are not sure which site is yours, check a meeting email from your VPE.

Watch out for look-alike login pages. Search results for "easy-speak login" include third-party pages that are not run by easySPEAK. Only type your password on your club's real site.

How to book a meeting role

  1. Log in and open the meeting: use Next Meeting, Meetings → Meeting List, or My Participation → Sign Up For Meetings.
  2. Click Yes or No to say whether you will attend.
  3. If the VPE has already assigned you a role, accept or reject it.
  4. To take a vacant role yourself, pick it from the meeting. This only works if your club allows member self-booking and the meeting is inside the booking window.

Can't book a role? Self-booking is a club setting, so if you don't see the option, your club assigns roles centrally. Ask your VPE.

How to request a speech

  1. Click Request a Speech in the left menu. You can also get there from My Participation → View my Speech Progress or Profile → Book a speech.
  2. Choose your Pathways path and project.
  3. Enter the speech title and an introduction for the Toastmaster.
  4. Pick a preferred meeting, or Any club if you are flexible, and save.

Your request joins a queue that the VPE schedules from, so it may not appear on an agenda straight away.

Using the easySPEAK Mobile app

In 2026 the easySPEAK team released easySPEAK Mobile for iOS and Android. It is free and lets you view agendas, confirm attendance, volunteer for roles, and decline roles from your phone. It works with easy-speak.org and tmclub.eu accounts.

Why didn't I get a reminder?

In Easy-Speak, role and reminder emails go out when the meeting manager sends them, not on a fixed timer. If you expected a reminder, check your spam folder, then ask your VPE whether it has been sent for that meeting.

For officers: when Easy-Speak isn't the right fit

Easy-Speak is free and mature, and for many clubs it is the right tool. If your club wants reminders that send themselves a week and a day before each meeting, automatic role rotation, or a phone-friendly interface for officers, here's how Toastmanagers compares, and how clubs move over in an evening.
