FreeToastHost 4: What Changed and Fixes for Common Problems

FreeToastHost (often written Free Toast Host or FTH) is moving every club website from FTH3 to FreeToastHost 4. If your club has just been moved, or is about to be, this page explains what changed and how to fix the problems officers most often report on the FTH support forum.

The FTH4 timeline

  • December 2025: the FTH team published its FTH4 goals: better mobile display, hybrid attendance, calendar improvements, configurable and multiple agendas, dues payments, and a faster back end.
  • Mid-2026: a beta with 108 clubs. The FTH team described the move as a one-way trip: once a club is on FTH4 it can't go back to FTH3.
  • Since then: the FTH team migrates the remaining clubs on its own schedule. Clubs are notified; you don't pick the date. The FTH3 forums are now a read-only archive.

What's new for members and officers

  • Role sign-up: members click Sign up on a role and their name fills in everywhere that role appears; Release undoes it. Speakers add a title, Pathways project, and introduction.
  • Bulk sign-up sheet: members can take roles or mark attendance across several upcoming meetings at once, including in-person or online for hybrid meetings.
  • Agenda emails: officers can email agendas using saved templates with variables.
  • Reports: role and speech reports for officers.

Common problems and what to do

"My admin password doesn't work"

FTH3 admin passwords do not carry over to FTH4. Use the password reset link on the FTH4 login page to set a new one by email.

"The password reset email never arrived"

Check spam and junk first. Officers have reported delivery problems most often with Microsoft addresses (Outlook, Hotmail, Live). If nothing arrives, try a different email address on your member record, or ask on the FTH support forum.

"I can't reach the site at all"

FTH says it does not support access through VPNs, and some officers on Starlink or connecting from abroad have been blocked. Turn off your VPN, or try from a different network, before assuming the site is down.

"Our agenda meeting titles are blank after migration"

Some clubs found FTH3 agenda meeting titles came across empty. FTH staff have said this should be corrected; in the meantime, re-enter the titles for upcoming meetings.

"We can't add agenda notes anymore"

Existing FTH3 agenda notes are still visible, but officers have reported they can't add new ones in FTH4. Put the note in the meeting description or agenda email instead.

"The Toastmaster of the day can't edit the agenda"

Agenda edit rights are tied to permissions. Have a site administrator check the member's role permissions, or have an officer make the edit.

Where to get help

FTH is supported by volunteer Ambassadors on the FreeToastHost support forum at support.toastmastersclubs.org. Search the FTH4 Support forum first; most problems have been asked before.

Keeping meetings calm during the cutover

The website move is the FTH team's job. Making sure Tuesday's speakers and evaluators show up is yours. Many VPEs keep the public site on FreeToastHost and run the role schedule and reminders in a separate tool while the site settles, so a login problem never becomes a missing evaluator.

Keep the website. Fix the schedule.
